# What Is Trading DNA?

**Short answer:** Trading DNA is the repeatable pattern of how a person actually trades — session, assets, sizing, stops, regime performance, and what they do after pain — not the strategy they claim in a bio. A financial harness is useful when it can see that DNA and keep the agent honest.

## Claimed rules vs actual behavior

Traders write “I cut losers fast.” Logs show losers held twice as long as winners. That gap is not an insult. It is the highest-value input for an agent: style-drift detection.

A harness can draft an `invest.md` from history (wallet, session, implied leverage) and then remember both the draft and your edits. Over time it should know your DNA better than your last tweet.

## What DNA is made of

* When you trade (and when you shouldn’t)
* What you actually touch vs what you say you watch
* Sizing under stress
* Invalidation you honor vs move
* Correlation habits (stacking the same bet in three names)

## Why this matters for followers

If you copy a Fund, you are copying DNA plus a framework — or you are copying last week’s fills. Questflow’s product bet is the former: distill the manager, show a ledger, let the agent run inside your limits.
