# Questflow vs Cursor

**Short answer:** Cursor is an AI-native code editor — a coding agent in the IDE. Questflow is an AI Finance Agent — a financial harness plus a marketplace of Funds. Cursor helps you write software. Questflow helps you follow investor judgment across markets. Same agent era, different job.

## What Cursor got right (and finance should copy)

Cursor won by putting the agent *in the loop of real work* — not a sidebar that forgets the project. Rules files, memories, and tool use made it a colleague. Finance products that only add "Ask AI about this candle" are still sidebars.

Questflow's equivalent of "the agent lives in the repo" is: the agent lives in the **portfolio + thesis + permissions**. It should know your book the way Cursor knows your files.

## What Cursor cannot do for you

Cursor has no venue, no custody model, no high-water-mark fees, and no marketplace of other people's verified judgment. Using Cursor to "write a trading bot" puts you back in the Composer/3Commas problem: the tool is excellent; the edge is still yours to invent.

## Which should you choose?

This is not a substitution. Build with Cursor. Invest with Questflow if you want Funds managed by AI Agents instead of a blank strategy builder.
